REGULATION SS548 2009_SELECTION, USE AND MAINTENANCE OF RESPIRATORY DEVICES (previous standard)

According to SS 548 : 2009 Code of practice for selection, use and maintenance of respiratory protective devices, Annex F (check list for inspection) – “Consult manufacturer’s literature for applicable inspection criteria”

Inspection criteria are from the manual of HONEYWELL FENZY Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)

COURSE OUTLINE

         KNOWLEDGE:

- To be aware of the Medical Health Condition for the safe usage of Breathing Apparatus

·       -   To understand the Gas Toxicity environmental considerations.

·        -  Proper and safe usage of DPI SEKUR Respiratory Equipment

·       -  To understand the basic functions and required maintenance checks for DPI SEKUR Respiratory Equipment

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

·         Safety officers / Engineers / HSE Officers /  Managers

·         All personnel who have to use DPI SEKUR Respiratory Equipment

COURSE CONTENTS:

·         Medical Condition Checklist.

·         Environmental Safety Considerations.

·         Basic Operating Principle of FENZY Respiratory Equipments.

·         Operating Functions Checks.

·         Donning & Doffing Procedures.

·         Practical Assessment.

·         Quiz (10 minutes)

COURSE DURATION:

·         A half day training course is required for estimated class size of 15-20 pax. Minimum of (2) week prior notice is required.

·         

·       .NOTE:

1.    The training will be conducted in English language, please arrange for own translator if required.

2.    Please provide at least (1) set of your Complete DPI SEKUR Respiratory Equipment for the training, otherwise kindly highlight (1) week in advance.

3.    Participants MUST be clean shaven before the training.
