  Equipment & Training

  • It is the duty of building owner / managing agent to ensure that the CERT is properly trained and equipped. Anyone can be a CERT member (e.g. tenant, occupant, contractor).
  • Equipment is compulsory. – Minimum 5 sets of PPE (1 SIC, 4 ERT members)
Equipment & PPE Essentials
Tier 3 premises must maintain compliant safety gear and minimum equipment sets on site: 
  • Fire-retardant coveralls
  • Safety helmets and protective goggles
  • Heavy-duty gloves and safety boots
  • Minimum of 5 sets of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the team (1 SIC and 4 ERT members)
