Microtector III G888M

The Microtector III G888M combines the requirements of a modern multi-gas detector for personal use in mining and in Ex zone 0 with a compact design for safe working in confined spaces and shafts. The robust and practical multi-gas detector is equipped with a catalytic combustion sensor for combustible gases, an infrared sensor for CO2 and 3 electrochemical sensors for toxic gases as well as oxygen. In this configuration, the G888M is versatile in use and reliably detects all potentially dangerous gases and vapors underground.

The handy Microtector III G888M is the best choice for personal protection against a wide range of gas dangers in mining and in Ex zone 0. Our smallest multi-gas detector offers five sensors for the detection of up to seven combustible and toxic gases as well as oxygen

Safety and operation
The Microtector III G888M is certified for use up to Ex zone 0 and is protected against the ingress of water and dust according to protection class IP67, making the multi-gas detector suitable for challenging applications in mining. The rubberized polycarbonate housing offers excellent protection against shocks and vibrations. Effective design, low weight and the robust croco clip ensure high wearing comfort. The G888M is operated via three buttons and the color backlit display. For better usability, the screen can be rotated by 180 degrees if required, and an explosion-proof flashlight will solve any problems with poor light conditions. 

Alarm and battery life
If a threshold value is exceeded, the G888M will warn its wearer in three ways: via light signals, vibration and loud buzzer (103 db(A)). The integrated NiMH battery has a runtime of up to 65 hours, depending on the operating mode and sensor configuration.

Connected Safety
When equipped with an optional radio module, up to 10 portable gas detection devices of the G888 series can be connected to the Connected Safety monitor TeamLink. The supervisor thus has an overview the local readings and status of each team member. In the event of a gas or man-down alarm, the supervisor can initiate help quickly and systematically. The G888/G999 Visual software also makes it possible to monitor more than 10 portable gas devices and send short messages.

Accessories
The DS400/404 docking can be used to charge, calibrate and adjust the gas detectors of the G888 series. The Smart Charger Cap can be used for charging and calibration, as well as to transfer data to a PC. To better distinguish gas detection devices for different applications, they can be marked with diffusion covers in five signal colors. Model variants
Within the G888 series, the 2 model variants G888C and G888M are available. Both G888 versions have one CC, one IR and three EC sensors. This allows a variety of combinations of up to seven gases or measuring ranges to be monitored simultaneously. The G888M, specially designed for use in mining, is intrinsically safe (type of protection "ia") and flameproof (type of protection "da") for use in Ex zone 0.
